In accordance with MSC.1/Circ. 1206, all lifeboats and launching appliances on board ocean-going vessels, should be subject to an annual service as well as a five-yearly service, to be done by personnel that are quote “fully trained and familiar with these duties” unquote.

MSC.1/Circ 1277 stipulates that the acceptance of service companies for the above required servicing, is a Flagstate decision.

Navisafe can rely on the experience of several decades of a variety of servicing and repairs to lifeboats and associated equipment.

Navisafe is also in close communication with a variety of lifeboat and davit manufacturers as well as a number of Flagstates and Classification Societies, in order for our service engineers to be trained at the manufacturer’s facilities and for Navisafe to obtain the appropriate Flagstate and Classification approvals.
